Overview

This programme encapsulates a series of hands-on workshops and advisory coaching sessions that aims to provide a practical approach in enabling participants to effectively drive and manage the design and development of digital services and products.

This programme focuses on "Learning by Doing" - using authentic, real-world projects where participants can translate what they learned directly into their workplace. Advisory coaching is also provided to further support the learning experience.

To have an ideal learning outcome, participants are recommended to form a team of 2 to 5 members with an existing and/or authentic problem statement ready. A Project or Team Sponsor is required to be identified for each team. The sponsor plays an important role to support the teams in terms of direction, resources and time to work on the project. The deliverables from the programme can be presented back to the sponsor, for decision-making to take it forward.

Key Takeaways

Upon completing the programme, you will be able to:
  • approach service innovation from an outside-in perspective by applying the central concepts of service design and product thinking
  • conduct research and synthesise data from multiple sources to discover unmet needs
  • Use tools such as journey mapping, service blueprinting and storytelling to explain the value proposition of service innovation concepts and the intended outcomes for citizens and businesses
  • conduct opportunity analysis, business case and service strategy development
  • Understand and leverage digital technologies to achieve digital services transformation
  • apply user experience design principles in information, interface, navigation and interaction, and visual design to create seamless experiences for citizens and businesses
