Key Takeaways

At the end of this programme, you will be able to:

  • Gain knowledge and skills to bridge the gap between your current practice of relying on spreadsheets and move on to communicate your insights effectively using data visualisations
  • Focus on the skills needed to prepare, analyse, and visualise data, and to present the derived insights
  • Learn to design effective visuals, focus attention, develop a purposeful storyboard and use compelling narratives to communicate data insights

There will be hands-on activities to guide you along in your journey from spreadsheets to data storytelling.

Testimonials

Learning new Excel functions such as pivot charts and how to make Excel dashboards was useful. Additionally, I learnt how to use a new data preparation tool.

Learning Tableau and understanding which kinds of charts showcase which types of data so they can be clearly understood by the audience was useful.

The introduction and the know-how skills in giving a voice to my data, notably the various features and navigation in Tableau, have been useful.
