Project

Provides you the opportunity to demonstrate competency of your newly acquired skills in a team-based mini-capstone and an individual assessment. For the project, you will work in teams on a problem or opportunity.

It is also attached to a formal grading mechanism so that the certificate may be used as one component in the NUS-ISS Stackable Master of Technology (MTech) in Software Engineering

Components

An example of a possible project might start with a problem statement like : How might we raise environmental sustainability in NUS. Participants would be expected to refine the problem statement through various research methods, including first hand inputs etc. They would then analyse the customer/market needs, before formulating the product/platform idea with validated value proposition(s). An overall technical architectural plan and a product strategy with a sound investment plan and business case are required. The teams will be mentored through the project and will be assessed at intermediate points and at final completion.
