This course aims to equip participants with the fundamentals of Service Design and an appreciation of the basic tools, language and approach in designing services which take into account the needs of both the customers and service delivery teams. Participants will also learn about the underlying Design Thinking mind-set.

At the end of the programme, you will have a basic understanding of the rationale, approach and tools of Service Design. You will also be able to take away a Service Blueprint that you have worked on for your case study, if you are interested to continue the Service Design work on it.

  • Whole-of-Government (WOG) Public Service Officers from GovTech-managed agencies. 

Programme Structure

• The course needs to be commissioned for an intact Agency team by a business sponsor.
• Discussion will be held with business sponsor to identify the Agency-specific case studies to be used during the course, so that the participants can continue working on them after the course.
• Each run will require a minimum class size of 20 participants, and up to a maximum class size of 25 participants.

The course will be conducted on Zoom, using the Miro online visual collaboration platform. The modules covered are:

• Service Design Fundamentals
• Service Design Tools
• Hands-on Activity
