Overview

ICT&SS Governance functional cluster uplifts and governs the Government's use of technology in its ICT & Smart Systems (ICT&SS) implementation. This includes developing tech policies to enable long-term or strategic tech shifts across WOG, conducting ICT&SS audits across WOG to identify key control gaps and propose risk mitigating measures, governing ICT&SS portfolio and managing the ICT&SS risk profiles across WOG, and developing and implementing strategic ICT&SS sourcing, contract and third party management policies and processes across WOG to enable digital government through a purposeful mix of build and buy across the agencies.

ICT Procurement for Practitioners

Foundation This 2-day course aims to provide a practical approach to managing outsourcing and procurement in line with new development in the outsourcing management thinking and approaches. Through the use of real-world case study, the course serves to help participants learn about new procurement approaches (e.g. outcome-based procurement, dynamic contracting, co-sourcing) and acquire practical skills in the procurement and outsourcing management in the new digital era.

IM8 Proficiency Development Programme - Fundamentals (Part 1)

Foundation This course is a foundation module within the IM8 Proficiency Development curriculum. Upon completion, learners will have a comprehensive overview of IM8 and the key benefits it brings to Agencies. The course also serves as a pre-requisite for in-depth role-based learning pathways. It is mandatory for all Public Officers and ICT Auditors to complete this module before proceeding to Part 2 of this IM8 Proficiency Development Programme.

IM8 Proficiency Development Programme - Role-based Pathways: Architecture and Security

Intermediate This course focuses on the Architecture and Security pathway. Today’s applications are developed upon a mix of public and commercial infrastructure to create better end-to-end user experience.  The dependency of the internet and cloud services continue to grow and evolve. The Architecture and Security pathway is aimed at equipping ICT specialists involved in developing the Government’s ICT architecture with the knowledge and proficiency to design and implement secure infrastructures.  There are 7 in-depth modules in this pathway covering Governance, Security Data, Cloud, and Resilience.

IM8 Proficiency Development Programme - Role-based Pathways: Engineering & Operations

Intermediate This course focuses on the Engineering and Operations pathway. Engineering and operations remain the key driving force behind the deployment and running of digital services within the Government ICT infrastructure. The Engineering and Operations pathway is aimed at equipping ICT engineers/analysts involved in running the Government’s ICT operations with the knowledge and proficiency to develop, deploy and operate ICT applications and networks.  The in-depth modules in this pathway covering Incident Management, Security, Data, Cloud, Resilience, and Digital Services.

IM8 Proficiency Development Programme - Role-based Pathways: ICT&SS Management

Intermediate This course focuses on the ICT&SS Management pathway. The ICT&SS Management pathway is aimed at equipping Public Officers from the IT management group with the policy governance and compliance knowledge necessary to oversee digital transformation initiative, and provide direction on the planning and management of their ICT systems.  There will be 4 in-depth modules in this pathway – Governance, Data, Cloud, and Resilience.

IM8 Proficiency Development Programme - Role-based Pathways: Third Party Management

Intermediate This course focuses on the Third Party Management pathway. Working with Third Parties have become a focal point to achieve cost efficiencies, value and resilience.  Third party engagement increases the Government’s exposure to risk and Public Officers play an important role in managing risk when engaging Third Parties. The Third Party Management pathway is designed to equip public officers with adequate knowledge to manage security, data and project risks when engaging Third Parties.
